Wisdom for Today

TRUE LEARNING

To look is one thing.
To see what you look at is another.
To understand what you see is a third.
To learn from what you understand is still something else.
But to act on what you learn is all that really matters.

Look at the many layers of learning. Perhaps our Education Ministers care to assess themselves where they are at?

the danger is when we act on what we thought we knew but which in actual fact is a distortion of the actual facts becos we have distilled that knowledge by applying our life experiences and inherent biases. --- of course indoctrination from interested 3rd party also count.

Slowly We see what we want to see and hear what we want to hear becos of this inherent biases.

so is there true learning? and who get to define what is true?

Sheriff,

Our education minister don't need any further assessment of themselves or the system. They are ready to assess others.

Agnos,

For as long as the cognitive faculty is closed to philosophy and exposition, the knowing and discerning is limited to the imprinted phenomena.

A person show constantly assess himself. If he feels he no longer needs to assess himself and is ready to assess others only, we will have a doubtful education system.
