Quote for Today

"Being wealthy is not a sin. It cannot be in a capitalist market economy. Enjoying the fruits of one's own labour is one's prerogative and I have no right to chastise those who choose to live luxuriously."

-- by Lee Wei Ling, Lee Kuan Yew's daughter

when the sea was full, we were not there to witness it either. only Noah and the animals did.

to live luxuriously is one thing, and to live unmindful of others suffering is another thing.

Well said anon! That was rather callous of her..but maybe she's just the chip off the old block?

Or was she misquoted?

In my life. I know of people who spends more for 1 outfit than poor families pay for their annual food bill! And famous ppl whose dogs eat haagen daz daily but who gives little back to society too!

SIGH!
